I got the idea from this thread
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=166811.0

My boyfriend's birthday is next friday, the 22nd and he loves texas chainsaw massacre and evil dead, etc. so I decided to make him a bloody chainsaw cake!  Luckily my sister went to culinary school and was able to help me out.  This isnt the cake that I'm going to give Mike, this was just a practice cake to see if what I wanted to do was actually do-able.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I had originally wanted a foot with no shoe on and have some of the toes severed as well but...that didnt turn out as well as I would have liked so we decided next time we're gonna make it a shoe and just have the stump be all bloody....Im pretty happy with the rest of the cake and just wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions or suggestions..oh and we are adding a handle onto the cake, we just didnt have enough room on the pan we were working on, Im getting a longer one for next week!

That came out really good.  When I looked at the first picture before I read the post, I thought the fleshy thing was a, um, piece of delicate male anatomy, and when I read it was for your boyfriends birthday, I was kinda wondering what he'd done... LOL

But the reading cleared thing up.  :  )

It looks great. the only thing is that the shoe looks a little (not trying to be rude) phallic. Watch out for that next time.

I loooooove the chainsaw!

Hehe, but yes, I too thought that other piece was a male organ. Eeeek!

You're right.. maaaaaybe you should re-do it. Hehee

Other than that, it's fantastic!
