Hi my friends, I am going on a road trip and want to create while I am away from my craft room.  I have a tin that I am going to fill with stuff to keep me busy.  So far I have markers, cardstock, scissors, ink, a small set of rubber stamp letters and shapes, some bits of ephmera (not pictured) and a glue/ tape runner going in there.  Any other ideas?

Totally awesome idea!

Unfortunately, my trip isn't a road trip and it's long, so it'll probably be a hassle.

You're forgetting the basics! PENCIL AND PAPER! Along with a nice pen. You could also take ribbon and buttons. =D

I'd love to make one of those, but with a toddler on hand, crafting turns into a mess, quick!  I think I'll let him deco the barf bags...thanks for that idea ^_^
Maybe some decoupage stuff in one of those clear sticks that has a sponge on the end (like the ones you can get for glue), they come with caps so they won't be a mess.  A place mat or sommat to work on so you can keep the ATC work area clean...I need a drop cloth for when I craft Cheesy

No other ideas on what to add but I love this! I'm going away for the weekend and I think I'll pack something similar. I hate the thought of just sitting there watching t.v. in the hotel room when I could be doing something productive!

You are sooo organized. I just got back last week from a road trip and I'm still clearing out pamphlets and paper bits I saved (including big posters I peeled off of walls!) from the back of the car.

include some precut cards, or some backgrounds you've already started.

i substitute teach and i often end up with a prep period, time when students are at recess, so i've started taking a coupon file with blank cards, and some i've started but not finished along with me. i've done watercolor backgrounds at home, then added color pencils on top when they have dried, or stamped a larger image and added the color later. some of my students have been really interested in seeing the finished ones as well.

i also found a small sketch book to keep in my purse along with a good pen for sketching ideas, or doing a zentangle when i'm waiting in the doctors office. too bad i can't draw when i'm the one driving....

Such a cute idea. I should put something like that together since I'm always out of the house and get hit by inspiration all the time
