Thanks - I did it in about two weeks.  I already had most of the fabric and had started cutting out scraps just 'cause.  Then I got a call that my friends were adopting & sped right through the project!

Thanks everyone for the sweet comments!   I saw the lime green fabric on sale, and I ordinarily wouldn't have purchased that color, but something just drew me to it. 

A few things just came together somewhat coincidentally - the blue spiral fabric that I had used for the backing (originally from covering my kitchen chairs) echoed the spirals in the black & white spirals I used in the inner border (left over from a quilt for my cat) and that circular/spiral motion was also echoed by the circular design of the lime green fire-work type thing. Honestly not planned, but it worked out.

I love using tons of different fabrics in quilts.
