Thanks, everybody. I'm gonna be so freakin' excited when the rest of the room is done. There's even been talk of putting in a couple skylights as well.

Fidget: I took everything out (and made a huge mess of the rest of the kitchen), took off all the doors, hinges, shelves, and the metal shelf strip thingys. Then I sanded everything. I made sure that I was just taking off the varnish, not the entire color... as that wasn't necessary. Then two coats of primer and two coats of white gloss - Ta DA! Oh, and painted the walls yellow. We also replaced all the hinges (cabinets and the door stuff as well.).

The sanding was the most boring part.
