since i wasn't in town to celebrate mother's day and i will be around for father's day - i kind of wanted to do a joint present for my parents. i'd like to do something they can do together.

they haven't been able to spend a lot of time together recently, so i was thinking of something along the lines of a night at home. i'd like to set up whatever it is so that there's no time constraint as to when they have to do it.

i'm thinking maybe like a bottle of wine, a dvd or a game for them to play - but the hard part is something for dinner or to eat so they don't have to plan it....

any ideas?

You could make them their favorite dish and some dessert. Candlelit table...

You could either get them a gift certificate to a local restaurant that delivers or make them something and freeze it so all they have to do is defrost and reheat.
