I'm thinking the motifs are sewn together. It doesn't really look possible to make the center motif, and crochet out from there, does it? And am I ignorant, or is the band knitted? The description says the band is seed stitch, which I thought was a knit stitch?

Have you seen this in person, or just the pic,Pyogazel?
