So I really love and am inspired by everyone's threads with all their wedding crafts in one place, and I wanted to show off some of mine! Our date is July 28, it's going to be a pretty casual affair with decorations in oranges and reds and yellows. I'm having fun planning everything!!

Our save-the-date postcards, info on the back

Invites, designed and made totally from scratch:

Bridesmaid gifts--totebags I embroidered and filled with goodies from chinatown (slippers, parasols, fans, candies, pashminas, coin purses, toys)

Favors--plastic bags ordered from ebay, filled with chinese fortune telling fish, party blowers, jumping frogs, chinese candies, drink umbrellas, and my favorite--fireworks glasses, the ones that make all the lights in the room all sparkly and shiny!

Favors all together:

And my project for today--"lanterns" to decorate the windowsills at the reception and add more color and candle light. They're cheap glasses from kmart, covered with different papers in our colors and they'll have votive candles in them.

lit:

I'll keep posting wedding crafts as I get them done, I'm sure I'll have many more!

*updated*
We got married, it was so fun!!! It was a lot of work getting everything organized, and a pretty crazy weekend, but it was a wonderful time and I'm loving being a new wifey!  Wink

Some more crafts and DIY stuff from the day:
My hubby's cousin made the cake, an amazing red velvet covered with fondant.

My girlfriends helped me make the name tags for the table:

My coworker did my hair, and her friend did my makeup. My grandmother made the sash, and that's her wedding dress:

I ordered the flowers online and my mom and aunt made all the flower arrangements, including the centerpieces in the pots that she made for the occasion. I made the table numbers with extra paper supplies and sticky vinyl letters from Staples.

The wonderful craftster moderators made this amazing table runner, which I'm going to post in a separate thread:

Hubby and I wrote the programs (included pages about us and about the historic site we got married at, people seemed to like it!) and I added the tags to the birdseed bags (which were ordered from oriental trading co along with the fans you see in the above picture)

Here's an image of how we used the colored paper candles, along with paper lanterns and drinking glasses used as vases for extra flowers:

My new brother-in-law played the music for the ceremony (from The Life Aquatic), despite a raging case of shingles!

and one of the groomsman played DJ!

And some more pictures, just to show how fun it was. Smiley

(we told lady attendants to wear anything black, and my grandmother made sashes for them, and told the boy attendants to wear any grey suit and warm-colored tie)

Geeze - everything is so beautiful! I really want to make my own invitations, and yours are such an inspiration. Did you just use cardstock? Print stuff on your printer? Spill the beans - I want all the details. (please.)

Thanks guys! You are so sweet! Smiley

smelkie, the invites were pretty easy! I designed everything on my computer and printed it on my home printer, then used a paper trimmer to trim to size (my fiance is now extremely proficient with the paper trimmer Cheesy). The invite, info card, and rsvp card are printed on a lightweight cardstock, the scallop edge card I ordered from www.paper-source.com (cause I was too lazy to cut them all), and the enclosure I made from 12 x 12" textured cardstock, cut to size (2 to a page), scored and folded. Then I just wrapped a thin strip of paper around and secured with a seal. Let me know if you have any other questions! Smiley
