This began as a fathers day card for my father in law, but everything I make seems to turn out kinda gloomy, now it may not get sent, husband thinks it isn't really fathers day type material.  Oh, and yes I posted my card here, I just thought it's more art than papercraft, but move me if I'm wrong  Grin

Gloomy?    Huh
I do not get gloomy from this- I get a nice  quiet nostalgic feeling from this card.

Thanks guys!  If you recall, (though you probably don't lol) the same thing happened when I tried to make my mom and step dad an anniversary card-I posted that one in papercrafts-  my husband said he thought it might not be appropriate- but oh well, I kept that one for myself and I'l probably keep this one too Grin.  The key came from an old tackle box i found while dumpster diving.  Glad you guys like it, have a great day!

Cheesy  So your hubby interprets vintage as gloomy. Maybe he is feeling old? LOL   I feel all art is open to subjective interpretation. My suggestion is when you make him a card use lots of bight colors and go with your own gut instinct about giving the vintage ones to others!
There is my two cents worth Grin

i didn't find it gloomy, i found it intriguing, esp with the key hanging there. keys are possibilities. i don't think you're a doom merchant at all. and it takes one to know one Smiley) hehe

Doom Merchant...yesss....I really like that!  I AM a Doom Merchant!  Lol, others seem to enjoy getting them, but I never know how they really feel about them, I'm sure they wouldn't tell me they hated it even if they did.  I'm thinking of incorporating this into a bigger project that I'm working on now, so who knows, you might see it again soon in a different form  Wink
