I've been doing alot of fashion design lately, and I'm taking a bit of a brake so I can refresh and improve my...I guess you'd call it cartoon...ing.
I usually draw my characters in very nondescript poses, you know them, the mundane, arms at the side, legs together, etc.
This time, I tried my hand at something else...it kind of developed into a squatting/sitting position.
I know it needs work, and it's going to take practice, but I'm rather proud of the attempt...so...be gentle.

Wow, I actually think you're too hard on yourself!  I think it looks wonderful!  I love the style and the attitude!  You have a right to be proud of it, and I'd love to see more!  I miss my art classes so much...

I think you have the pose correct for her to be sitting on a wood stool or something. I like how you left one shoelace untied.

I don't think this one needs any more work. Just keep trying different poses and see what works.  Cheesy

Gosh...thanks guys!
I really didn't think I was being that hard on myself, but I do naturally lean towards the pecimistic view...
But, seriously, I appreciate the encouragement.
I go through whole sketchbooks with only a few salvageable pictures and it is nice to receive positive feedback.

That really is a nice pic!!! I love it! I love all the detail you put into it. From the arms being just right to the shoe strings! Keep upi the great work!

If I had to say something it would only be that she needs a step or something to sit on. Wink
