Hi all...I'm a newbie here. I am trying to find a pattern for sailor pants with a functioning front. I've Googled and did other searches, but nothing comes up except sailor pants to purchase. If anyone has an idea where I could find one, I'd be sooo appreciative. Thanks in advance..

Simplicity has a pattern for sailor-esque pants. The number is 4237. I don't think the front actually buttons up, but you could probably modify the pattern to do so fairly easily. I'm planning on making these when I find fabric that I like for it.

Hope this helps!

burda has one too. 8488. i don't think the front is functional but you could modify it so that it is. i just think it would be easier to put in an invisible zipper in the back (or side as they suggest) i made these pants a few years ago and loved them! now that i think about it maybe i'll make another pair!

Thank you Burningoffandon and Atomic Mary. I am off to check out these patterns you suggested. I will even attempt to modify the front, if I can.
