while browsing the target sale racks, i saw a dress in the most adorable fabric.  alas, it was a large - i told my mom that it fit and bought it anyway. it had major potential.  long story short, i cut off about a foot (and let the lining peek out from underneath) and took in even more - i ended up with a cute summer sundress for the last day of school!

sorry about the links and overendulgence of pictures - i'm still new to posting but VERY excited!

reminiscent of its mumu origins

with a sash (i like it best this way)

oh, it's pretty. i'm with you on the sash. and yes, i reckon change the neckline, it's more interesting than a straight neck.

Wow, I love it!  Personally, I'd keep the square neckline if you're going to keep tying the sash around the middle.  But the change in neckline wouldn't hurt either if you'd rather do that!  Cheesy

wow that looks wonderful! everything from the design to the fabric. it looks super cute with the sash, too! reminds me of a dress from free people. ^^

i like it best with the square neckline.

This is really pretty!
I'm a negative on changing the neckline...I much prefer it the way it is.

i also think you should leave the neckline as is -- it's classic and very flattering.

that's an awesome recon!  there's some spiffy printed mumu's at the PX you make me want to go look at buying Cheesy I say keep the neck as is, it looks great with the sash.
