The convention was this weekend and I tried to take a picture of myself in the dress, and it just didn't work. I'll get someone to do it next time.

The best compliment I got was the first, by a man staffing one of the tattoo tables who said, "Niiiiice dress. I wish I could wear it." I said, "Well, you're a little smaller than I am, but arrangements could be made..."

Grin first off: the dress is gorgeous!

secondly: i saw this fabric, fell in love, searched for Alexander Henry, and looked at his whole collection, and still only liked this, so i wasnt going to buy any online.....well i went fabric shopping the other night and bought an insane amount of fabric, went back today, and as i was perusing the aisles, i saw this exact fabric (the one im so in love with) sitting there, in all its beautifulness....

i dont even want to use it, just look at it....i may even go back and buy more (i only bought a half a yard, cos i make purses, and thats how much i buy for my purses, but i think i may need more, my brother LOVES it too...and hes gay, he has style..lol)

so much kudos on a beautiful dress, and thank you for using this fabric, or i never would have known it existed, or pined for it! haha

Well, thank you! And... you're welcome!

Weirdly, A Henry makes two skulls-n-roses prints -- they may be a year or two apart -- which are very similar.. This one is much better than the other one, in my opinion, which has some more "shading" details and eyeballs in the skulls.

This is a big print, though, so you'd have to make a big purse! One of the reasons I went with this print, as opposed to the "tattoo" print that A Henry also has out, is because of the scale. It really works well big.

Cheesy i checked, and on the label on the selvage it says *born t* and then nothing...lol....it will be a relatively big bag, for my everyday use, i just havent worked out all the kinks.....i think my print has a lot of shading....maybe its the *good* one (lol)

The one I used was called Born to Ride. The similar one I liked less is called The Rose Tattoo. Still strikes me as weird. It's like they had two designers do their takes on the same idea, and then couldn't choose between the two.

It's so pretty. Gimme! D:

I remember seeing that fabric in the store. I think my mom liked it. And the Rose Tattoo was right by it. It looked.. interesting.
