I LOVE YOU for making this quilt! It is the absolute best. Not only do I just love Harry Potter and all the different appliques, it's just an overall great quilt. Good luck on the book!

Marten's guitar represents the Unicorn Prince. Your keyboard represents the Coven of Pony Witches and my bass represents the nomadic Giraffe Tribe which the Unicorn Prince must befriend in order to regain the throne.

Thank you all for your kind words!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've received confirmation that I will be showing my quilt at The Hill Country Bookstore's Diagon Alley event in Georgetown, Texas.

9 pm - Midnight

They don't have a website, but I can tell you I've been to their releases for the last two books and they're amazing.  They turn an entire block into Diagon Alley, complete with a pub selling butterbeer, lots of photo ops, magical creatures for sale, places for kids to do classes and more.  I'd say about 1/2 of everyone that goes is in costume.

The best part is admission is free.  Most of the other local places require you purchase a book voucher to go to their party, and that only guarantees entry for 1 to 2 people, but HCBS does not, making it perfect for families with kids.

you know if I didn't live in Kansas I would be there. Gas is too expensive to make it a trip plus I have way too many cats and dogs to be able to afford to have them boarded while I'd be gone. Oh well, I'll just have to settle for looking at photos of your quilt.

That's really sweet!  I totally understand about gas prices.  Bleargh, they're awful right now.  Pets, too...I have cats, hermit crabs & fish that are hard to leave without a friend that has time to keep an eye on them.
