I adore this blanket... When I started knitting it, it was for a friend's baby shower. While I was knitting it, I got pregnant myself! And now it is mine and will stay mine. I grew too attached to it!

The yarn is Dream in Color sock yarn in the colorway "November Muse" (which is so perfect -- my little one is due in November!). It's superwash merino wool and was wonderful to work with, and the color options are rich and marvelous.

That's beautiful!  How many skeins did you use?  I've been lusting after various Dream in Color yarns.

I used just under 3 skeins of the Dream in Color, 2 strands held together. I reduced the overall size of the blanket by an inch or so on each side to ensure that I wouldn't run out of yarn, since I had no guarantee of being able to buy more of that same color from my LYS.

Oh wow!  That blanket is gorgeous.  I adore the colorway!  Where can you find that yarn?

Check out the Dream in Color website -- they don't sell over the internet, but you can find a local dealer here: http://www.dreamincoloryarn.com/pages/shops.html
