I love platypi. It's no secret among my friends. So, of course, I had to make one.

This was, by far, the most complicated plush I've ever done. I'm really happy with him, though. I want to squish him. Cheesy

Here's Pip, head-to-tail.

This is an "action shot" of him "swimming" through some reeds. Ignore the TV in the background. Wink

And, because I'm so pleased, here's the stitching on the tail and feet. He has fake webbing!

Hope you guys like him! I'm in post-crafting adoration, so I'm a bit biased.

Adorable! Just adorable!
And I just couldn't help noticing...If I'm correct...Is that the Ellen Degeneres show that you were watching at the time your little friend there was hiding in the tree? I love her...and your platypus!

Wow, I love that gawrsh-darn platamapus! I've always been fascinated by those animals, seemingly half beaver, half duck... and they look even cuter in polka-dots!

Thanks, everyone! I made him up as a went, so I was really surprised by the end result. Grin

Haha... Actually, it's a bit embarrassing to admit this, but I was watching the finale of The Fresh Prince[...] on Nick. I was working on Pip pretty late at night.

Aw, I love your platypus! I love them too!

Very cute polka-dot fabric. Very awesome!

Who doesn't love platypi? Wink The fabric was taken from a HUGE, HUGE XXL button-up I found in the men's section of a local Goodwill. I'm sure that the guy who originally owned the top would be proud of what his shirt became.

aw hes adorable.

It was harder than I thought it'd be, but it was also all flat--I was able to machine-sew everything. I keel over with hand-stitching.

Wow, I love that gawrsh-darn platamapus! I've always been fascinated by those animals, seemingly half beaver, half duck... and they look even cuter in polka-dots!

And, even as mammals, they lay eggs! And the males have poison spurs!

Platypi are totally bizarre, which make them all the more awesome.

Thanks again, guys. It's great how Craftster is so encouraging. It makes me want to create more crazy plushes.
