Okay so this fathers day I want to do something really cool for my dad.  He's very much into politics, he's a mechanic and is really into electronics.  So all of that would be wayyyy to hard to buy anything for him considering it just is and he just buys himself whatever he wants usually.  so, I was thinking, he's also very spritual and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that could work with that?  He also likes just normal sweet things that are all mushy and heartfelt.

You and me both  Huh

My dad is hard to buy for, if you ask him or mum they just say "socks and undies".  I am not going to buy socks and undies, though I may knit him some warm socks - I'm sure they'll be done for 2008, I'm a slow knitter.  He loves painting and always gets a lot of art stuff.   He paints out in the garage, complained about the cold out there last winter so for his birthday this year I bought him a heater.  I was over there today and had found that mum had stolen it for her sewing room!!

make him cards of stiff paper in the shapes of underwear and socks and in each one write something you appreciate about him. when you're done, make or buy a small version of whatever you put your clothes into at your house (hamper, basket, whatever) and put all the cards into it. ^_^
