This is how I spend the summer - crafts of all kinds.  I have re-discovered the beauty of hemp (after visiting a hippie store and finding my stash of hemp from middle school).  I've decided instead of getting up and getting a job this summer, I am going to just do many, many crafts - hemp is definitely one of them.

These are both chokers made with 1mm hemp.  Yum.

And I'm terribly sorry if this picture doesn't work.   Huh

I just picked up my hemp again too, I think it's the summer heat. Yours are beautiful, it looks like a pattern I saw out of a book called Hemp Masters. It's a fantastic book, love it. Smiley

I like the humour. Cheesy

I love the openwork one.. it is really pretty. I used to make those all the time, and my fingers can still feel the rope burn... hehe.

Wow those look neat. I never quite made it past half hitches, so everything either looks like a double helix or a flat ladder. Oh well. Yours look much better, obviously.
Mainly I just needed to tell you that your subject line was too cute! It definitely makes my day!

Thank you all for your kind comments!  I know what you mean by rope burn - by the second one I got smart and wore a bandage on my pinkie.  If I had that much patience to make a belt out of hemp, I don't know what I'd do . . . I guess I'd have a really neat belt, but alas, no patience.  I think these are a couple of my favourites of all my hemp jewelry, but I'm looking for even more ideas!
