Good Luck with the eloping;p I read something about it being somekind of tradition to get married on new years/eve somewhere.... Oye, need to find some ginkgo biloba;p Same with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang;p Those two movies were on the same vhs tape when I was growing up ;p Thanks Hanabi!

Ok as I said..I would post my pictures..so here's what I ..."embroidered"...(well it's a busy time of year!) - a little gift set for a friends baby...a singlet, socks and a bib...



and a close up - I wrote the letters freehand (can u tell!) and used split stitch and then just a running stitch round the edges...the singlet looks a little wonky but it's because of the ribs.


I did the same for my new nephew a couple of weeks back only with a bright but deep green floss...first time (proper Aunty!)

It's going to be a zipper bag.  I still have some applique to do.

And, yes, the flowers were meant to be vaguely creepy. Wink

Oh right!  I knew it looked familiar!  I've never tried bullion stitch, but I always think it looks so great -- like eastern European "peasant" embroidery or something.
