OK, here is my idea:

I'll make a green scarf for a friend. (I'll dye the fabric if I have to) Then I'll stencill some black dragonflies on it, and highlight them by embroidering with silver thread...

Now I just need to find the fabric...

I'm almost done. This is almost not fair because I have been working on an embroidery project and I do some almost every night. I will post a new one that was started in December. I can't wait to see what you craftsters will come up with.

I am making cloth napkins on my serger-the fabric is white with a pretty pattern on it, and I am using white thread on a rolled hem. Then I am going to embroider ?something? on them. Anyone got any ideas? My dining room is a light purple/blue/white, with flowers and butterflies being the main theme.

How about a ladybug on the bottom corner of each one?  Like one from the side, one flying, one on a leaf...this is probably getting complicated now...Cheesy

Since I finished the first project, I've been itching to sew more (who knew?!), so I think I'm gonna make a cell phone holder.  What it's gonna look like will be a surprise...although not many people will probably understand it.  errrr.

Jailin you can also check out preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'www.sublimestitching.com') I think there are instructions on there.

I found my fabric  Cheesy. It's moss green piece of silk. I hope it will be easy to embroider on as the threads are easy to follow and see (I have no idea of weaving terms...).
Next week I'll try to get the dragonflies stencilled. Then starts the hard part.

I free hand embroidered my niece's name (Mia) onto a felt heart that was sewn to her fuzzy preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'scarf.............it') is kind of like getting Dec and Jan in one shot!  Ha ha ha ha ha.

Actually, I am hoping to go ahead and do the kitty cat from the Stich It kit onto a pillow.  We'll see.....I have too many ideas and not enough time!
