Ooo I love the textbook needle holder!  Looks like you've got quite a collection.

thanks ladies! I added a tutorial, now I want to see more interpretations of my idea, I'm very happy with the combination or form and function.

and I got all those needles from thrift stores (except for some of the circulars, they were on sale at Joanns or something)

Wow!!!!!!! that's really cool!! I am making a needle holder like you. Except that it's not made from a book, just fabric. I hope mine turns out as great as yours!! Grin Grin

This is such a good idea!  If you added a handle to it, it could be like the book purse that other people have made on here and then you could carry it places with you.

good point, I thought about that, but I decided it would be cool to have storage that looks like a book that I could keep on my bookshelf. Maybe I'll make another with a zipper around the outside that closes like a binder and keeps all the little stuff from falling out

Thanks so much for the detailed instructions--you made it look very do-able. Great project--I'll start one as soon as I find a cool book to tear apart.

I appreciate the time you took to write the tute!
