A couple of necklaces - edited to add another pic

I made this necklace for sevsonlygirl for the ongoing wish swap (round 19?) and I dont think I ever posted it. It's debbie bliss cashmerino with gold seed beads:









I made another collar/necklace today for my mothers birthday. I realized last night that today was her birthday and that I didn't have a gift for her (such a horrible daughter) so I grabbed a skein of angora yarn and a hook to take to work with me this morning and went to town. It took about 2 hours, one to make the motifs and one to sew it all together.

Right now it's nothing too special... I want to add some chains connecting the two circles on the bottom (sort of like a chandelier effect, if you can visualize it) and I think I'm going to add some silver seed beads like the one above just to give it a little something else. it seems too plain right now. I doubt she'll ever wear it, especially since angora is sooo warm, but she'll at least like it.

I added seed beads to this becklace and... I really don't like it. I think I also want to take the circles on the bottom off. I'm going to give it to my mom without touching it, though, and see what she thinks of it. She may like the circles. they just seem out of place, though, like they need something to connect them. I just cant find something nice enough. I thought about stringing some beads horizontally from circle to circle, or maybe vertically from the flower, or maybe the same two methods except sc and picots, but nothing looks right.

Wow, looks European design. Very stylish too. I did't see a clasp or hook, so its longer than 12 to 14 inch? The length is just above the breast 16 to 18 inch?

Neither of them have clasps, because to be honest I hate adding a clasp. The black one is just snug enough to fit around my head, but they both stretch. They each sit just on or blow the collarbone. I don't remember how big specifically the gold one is, but I think sevsonlygirl might have an action shot of some sort.

Thanks! I just added some seed beads to it, but Im afraid I really don't like it beaded. it looked much better "plain."
