Knit crochet goodie bag swap - send by 7/16

LOl definately an advantage to crochet .. the hooks are less likely to rip their way out of the bags ... not that they don't tear out the lining instead some days ... I actually keep my projects in an purse that I don't use as a purse ... I mean .. who needs 2 pink purses .. (although my Mother was thing such thoughts were sacregious )

I collect tote bags.  Since I almost always have 4-5 WIPs hanging around, I like to have each one in it's own bag, plus I need bags for my other crafting as well.  I always have at least one crafting project with me wherever I go.  There was that embarrassing period when I was carrying my knitting around in grocery bags, but I don't like to think about that.

Mommying has required me to carry a tote-size, or larger, bag for what seems like forever - and have had to keep smaller things, chapstick, keys, cell phone in small pockets or bags so they don't go missing.

Clinique bags, the one's you get with your free gift with purchase, are perfect for toting a sock project or other little projects.

I recently received a GoKnit Pouch from my Secret Pal and I totally heart it. The loop is awesome to attach to my belt or stroller. I highly recommend loops on bags.

Yeah, I love loops too!  and things that have D-rings or caribiners (sp?) and stuff, so you can hang things off the bag.  Of course, I'm a kitchen sink/commando bag kind of girl (sometimes I leave my gas mask and boxing gloves at home, but only sometimes  ), so I love anything that lets you carry other stuff without adding extra straps to fuss with...

Carrying my WIPs around with me is the reason why I haven't been converted to my school's major Vera Bradley tote bag fad. I would rather have my messenger bag that has oodles of pockets, and carry a project in there. Cuz honestly, I don't pay attention in lecture anyway, (meaning I don't bring my textbooks) so I have the room for a few small projects.

I just have to share, I went to the store to just look for some ideas for this swap (because it doesn't hurt to look) and I found the most wonderful wool mismarked for only 77 cents.  I bought all the ones that were wrong, 6 skeins for 4.90.

as for the whole "goodie bag" concept i think you can either make an actual bag, buy a bag, or send goodies without any bag at all.
its up to you and your partner really!

also signups close tomorrow (for all you lurkers)
