A gallon size ziploc is what my knitting goes in before it is stuffed in the purse. Although I did just make a nice little drawstring bag but has yet to make a trip out and about.

Eek! Am I the only one who just shoves her knitting in her purse?
No, I do that sometimes.  Does it count that my purse has been migrated into my project bag?  Yeah, I'm a bad naughty knitter that way.  I really must buy a nice new handbag so I can take my non crafty stuff out of my craft tote.

Wait, you're not suppose to always keep a project in your purse as well as a craft bag full of WIPs?  Plus a few hanging out here and there?  My bad.

I also have a WIP in my car in case i get stuck in traffic.

I'll throw my socks into my purse but it's usually full of books I like to read. So really, I'm carrying around 2 large bags where ever I go that way I can keep everything in some semblance of order. Tongue

Hey guys there are no knitting or crochet  police okay Wink  Remember holes in purses is a good way to find other knitters.

A week ago something was poking me and I realize I had stuck my current pair socks in my bag.  It was a blessing though 'cause I needed a time killer:) I've been known to stick my wallet in my project bag too.  There is no need to have both.

I like having both.  My knitting always gets messed up if I put it in my purse, so I'd rather just carry two bags.

While there is no knitting/crochet police...I can't count how many times my projects ripped themselves out in my purse. >< I carry 2 for sanity's sake. Cheesy

I use zip locks to get around that. When I make socks I do two at a time on dpns or I tow two at time with magic loop on separate circs, so I put each in their own bag so they don't get tangled.  So I've never put something in my purse without it being in in some other kind of bag.

There's a knitting project in my work bag right now...  Undecided

Come to think of it, I'd love to have a little bag (like the size of a gallon ziplock bag) to keep my knitting in.

The ziploc bag is a good idea. I have point protectors on my needles right now, but they've been known to fall off.

My boyfriend always makes fun of me and calls me the bag lady, because on certain days I'll have my laptop case, a shoulder purse, and a bag for my lunch (or knitting...or Lush products I just bought...or books...etc etc). Haha.
