I just got my first needle felting kit in the mail yesterday. Best money I ever spent. I'm completely hooked. So today I made some body parts. (Obviously they're not all from the same person.  Wink)

Eyeball

Anatomical heart. The only red I had was some Alpaca so I decided to give it a try. Didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. The fiber took the red dye really unevenly, so I got some neat colour variations.

Zombie finger. This green is my favorite colour out of all the fiber I got. And evidently I think it's the perfect colour for dead/undead flesh. I didn't realise it until after it was finished, but it's almost exactly the same size as my index finger.

Severed leg. A little bloody, with a cut on this side.

I was trying for bruises on this side, but I think they look more like sores or decomposition. Gross, I know.

Comments welcome.

I like...but then I'm a big zombie movie fan Smiley The colour variations on the heart make it look a lil more realisitic, and the finger is tops.  The leprosy on the leg makes it look like it came from a zombie movie set Cheesy Really nice work...I'd love to learn how to needle felt.  Keep it up sug!

You should put a loop of cord on each of them and use them to decorate a dead tree branch on halloween.

I would gladly do up a tute, but I'm really new at this, so it's all trial and error. (In other words, I'm not sure how I made them-lol) I'll see if I can reproduce one of them and take some pics while I do.

I'm a big fan of horror flicks too. Especially with zombies. But um, I guess that's pretty obvious.  Grin  You should give needle felting a try! It's really fun.

I've been trying to figure out something to do with these, or a way to display them, and that's a really cute idea. Thanks

totally dig your style, and great for your first efforts!  Grin
fyi: there's tutorials on needle felting all over the felting board here, i think you can use those for the basics and use your imagination like krissykat to make the actual pieces!
