I made these for Tanza in the ongoing wish swap.  She got them a bit ago, so I thought I'd share them with you lovely knitters over here.  I forgot to photograph them, but there are pics of them in the swap gallery:

Using these as inspiration, I made up this cable chart:

**it's hard to tell from this pic, but each of the four cable columns is 2 knit stitches wide, all the way up.**

The pattern is my own, with inspiration drawn from several different sources. (kitty's broadstreet mittens, Elizabeth Zimmerman for the thumb and of course the above pattern for the cable)

yarn: Sonota from elann.com (100% cotton - because of a wool allergy)
needles: us3 and us2 dpns

I'd love to hear what you think about them.  Constructive criticism is always welcomed. Smiley

Holy moley, those are some beautiful gloves. Super job. Smiley

"Oh well we sometimes feel we're to blame in some way for what our gran's become. I mean she used to be happy here until she, she started on the crochet.
Now she can't do without it. Twenty balls of wool a day, sometimes. If she can't get the wool she gets violent. What can we do about it?"
