Click Lights Wall Art

These are just plain 'ole dollar store push lights
I live in a duplex so I needed to find a crafty way to achieve a soft light without taking up too much space .

I went to the hardware store and purchased some aluminum sheeting.   It comes in various textures and sizes -(this one has a nice texture, but my camera doesn't pick it up).  I ended up cutting the heighth down a little bit with tin nippers.  (optional if you're picky like me and everything must fit perfect!)

I got out my trusty ole' glue gun and glued 3 heavy duty magnets to the back.

( and yes! if you use enough glue they will stay! )
These lights have been hanging for a couple months now

I advise 3 magnets because the batteries make the light heavy.

I didnt even nail this in my walls.  I used 3M adhesive pull strips, and all these lights are heavy - so this stuff did the trick great!

The lights can be *pushed* in different diagonal or across patterns for variety!
( I only pictured 1 light lit in hopes to take a good picture without glare)!

ps if you cannot view the pictures for some reason - i have the diy also on my website http://www.fashioncompassion.com

This is very cool.  Especially if you live in an older home--back when they apparently didn't believe in lighting!!  I bet my daughter would love this for her room!  Especially if you have to get up in the middle of the night & don't want to wake everyone up with a bright light!  I suppose these could be painted to match the room, too.  Very awesome idea!!
