ah, more chic?

do you want to keep it short or add some length to it?

I'd add some plain black ribbon under the bust for starters, maybe with a small bow. like this....but without my rubbish Paint skills  Wink

Black ribbon, definitely.

Maybe an applique?

well it is already rather busy, so if anything you'd want to stay with solid colors. if i is rather boxy you could go with a larger black sash.
It looks very mod. If you wanted to go for sewing, you could sew a black strip across the bottom in a similar fabric, I've been into the strip across the bottom lately though, so don't mind me  Cheesy

ooh Miss Chris, I like the way you lowered the neckline and added an insert as well as the bow. Virtual sewing is so much quicker than the real thing LOL  Wink

Attacked it with photoshop.~

I don't know, I'm thinking a bit more mod inspired.

Granted, I think we all sgree on the black belt/waistlaband.

You can do all of these things, by cutting up an old black tee, as for any seamstress, that is the most preffered material to work with.~  Smiley
