Since I work at a gas station, I have first access to all of the sweetest lighters Bic has to offer. I've got quite a little collection going on. However, I just quit smoking, and beyond the occasional candle/incense lighting, I have no use for all of my awesomely labeled lighters.

Any suggestions for the lighters themselves or even just their labels?!

You could cut them so that only a piece of metal with the design remains and make keychains or jewelry?

Or decorate something with it.

I don't know. This is a tough one.

I'm a zippo gal, so I don't buy bics...are these the lighters that are gimmicky and funky or just the plain colored ones?

gimmicky & funky -- which is why I don't want to just give them away hehe

I thought about melting two sheets of clear plastic into little lighter-sized pockets, & displaying them like so...but I do not have the resources for that...

Maybe you can make some kind of display rack- like people have for spoons and stuff. Or a shadow box.  Maybe glue them down onto a light weight board and make a collage type display with the coolest side of the lighter facing out.  or a little box pyramid where you can stand the lighters up in rows.  Attach a string or chain to them ( or wrap wire to make a loop) and make a mobile. That would be cool
I will be back if I think of anything else Grin

A suggestion that I might add. If you are going to turn these lighters into art, get the butane out of them first.

This may not happen, since I have had major surgery on my shoulder.

Yea, I know *LOL* Cheesy That's wy I'm also open to suggestions on taking the labels off & using those instead of the entire lighter hehehe

The label is usually just shrink-wrapped plastic.  You can get it off in one piece by VERY VERY CAREFULLY cutting around the metal top bit with a razor blade, then straight down the side.  Trim the bottom edge where it curves, and you will have a piece of colorful plastic that you can use for whatever project you have in mind.
