I made this card for my nephew who loves soccer.  I got the idea and pattern from this book: 3-D decoupage made easy by Susan & Martin Penny.

Its got 4 layers - the 1st is a circle with the crowd.  Over that is the goalie layer.  Layer 3 is the foot kicking the ball and layer four is the player kicking it towards you.

The book says to just color copy their pattern and print it out.  I can draw so I copied the pattern black and white and then traced the outline shapes of each piece and cut it out with an exaco knife and drew the pics and used watercolors to color.  Then I glued the layers as directed (the shapes have tabs that fold and make the layers stand up).  Fun and not too hard.  I hope you can make out the "3-d-ness" in the pic :-)
