I recently completed the Pacific Waves Shawl from elann.  I used some yarn I had spun earlier to make it.  I gave it to my mom for her birthday.  Here she is modeling it for me  Cheesy

I saw this on your blog then saw it here, as well. I love it! I especially love the length

How happy does she look?  That is really neat Smiley I think it's hysterical to be reading posts where it's just mentioned casually, oh, and I spun the yarn by hand.  LOL

I've wanted to make one of these for a long time, but alas other projects call to be finished....plus I just haven't found the right yarn.  Yours looks fantastic!!!

That's beautiful!  I've looked at the pattern a few times and would like to knit it, is it difficult?

Thanks everyone!  She did love it very much.  I had planned on giving her a completely different shawl, but when she saw that one she wanted it sooo bad Cheesy

Ellen - it isn't a difficult pattern to follow, but you have to cast on 541 stitches.  It sounds worse than it is, you don't have to keep track of all those stitches at once.  There are stitch markers every 18 stitches so you only have to keep track of 18 stitches at a time.  The rest of the pattern is very simple, Go for it!!

That's really pretty.  Love the pattern, and the length.  Your mom sure does look happy, and why wouldn't she be?  Cheesy
