Earrings, Sooo boring help me fix them

Here is the one pair of earrings I made for my bridesmaids.  I stopped at one pair because the design is so simple, that it's making me crazy.



For each pair of earrings I have 4 swarovski cone crystals, and one onyx roundish bead.  (As you can probably tell be the picture).

And they're just sooooo boring!! Any more advanced techniques to help me?

I saw some earrings at my bead shop where there were 3 beads.  Each bead was on a seperate wire with a loop at the top and bottom, and the wire wrapped around (not wrapped around the bead, wrapped around the wire).  I gave it a try and it was not a pretty thing

Hmm, do you want earrings that are close to the ear?   I would add 3 staggered length chain with either your onxy/clear bead at the ends.

Are the earrings to be worn with the bracelet? If so, what about a brick-stitch diamond (maybe 6 or 7 wide) that matched the end of the bracelet, then has the part of the earring you already made hanging off the bottom point... Really the possibilities are endless, but I usually use 3 or more types of beads in earrings. You might get a look you like better if you incorporate some silver or silver-lined beads to give the earrings more textures.

I usually find that when I really hate something it is because there is a piece missing or one too many pieces...

I think if you used a small spacer between the crystals and the round you would like it better....

also - you may want to try something with a very different texture to it than the beads you are using.

or you might want to take the bottom cone out and have the onyx be the bottom piece, with only the one cone and a spacer between.
