I spun this on a drop spindle I got in a kit from Raynbow. I think she said the roving was a merino/alpaca blend. I could be very wrong. Spinning is so much harder than it looks But as soon as I find more already carded roving then I think I will be addicted.




It's very short yarn. Probably only fifty yards. I might make a necklace out of it using an icord.

Congratulations with your fist handspun yarn!  I always love seeing people's first skeins (and I'm only slightly jealous that it is so much better than my first  Wink ) Fifty yards is a good amount for your first, and making something out of it is a great idea.
