So, I was completely inspired by Heather Bailey's Pear Pin Cushion http://heatherbailey.typepad.com/heather_bailey/2006/08/out_the_door.html

I tried and tried to come up with the right pattern -- my first one resembled an onion bulb, my second attempt was more of a fat banana... finally, this:



And another view:



So, what do you think? Pretty close?  I'm going to try making a few more and see if I can make it a little better.  It was completely made from scraps out of my scrapbag.
