I already know how to crochet but this book has some great ideas in it and I love it ... I just wanted to post how much I love this book and I am glad that I found this site and the for all the people who told me to go buy this book thank you... very very great book cant wait for the next one to come out I think I may be hooked on the stitch n bitch book....

Has anyone else found some of the pattern hard to follow? I really like this book but I went through a stage of trying to make heaps of stuff out of it and failed. I thought that I was just my pattern reading skills not up to scratch but I don't seem to have any problems with any other patterns. I would be interested if this is just me or others also.

Thanks:)

I love it, too.  I've been looking at other crochet books and have yet to find another which contains quite as many makeable/wearable/usable designs as snbhh.

I'm currently making the Knot Ugly Shrug and had to change the increase method (instead of ch1 as indicated, I chain 1, dc in the next loop and then ch1 and dc in the next loop again, instead of making regular mesh stitch). So far so good and I think it has loads of useful tips.
But perhaps you tried to make stuff out of it before the errata was published ? There seems to be a lot of errors in the Short n Sweet pattern, for one.

I had loads of trouble with gauge when i made Cupcake.  In the end I just made a bigger size, and it turned out fine.  Eventually...

Everything else I've tried has been fairly straightforward, although I haven't attempted anything seriously complicated looking yet (like frou frou, or prepster...).

I've had some trouble, but I always tend to get stuck SOMEWHERE on every pattern I do...

Have you checked online for the errata?
