Craft Challenge #19 - Queen of Craftyness Tiaras - Due July 1 - July 5 2007

The winner has been determined!
A huge congrats goes to  snowwhitesuicide for her kick-ass entry Royalty Runs with Scissors!

You can see my blog wrap up of the challenge here. And take a gander at all of the super entries here.
Thank you to everyone who participated!

Time to vote! July 6 - July 12. Scroll up to see the poll. And click here to see all the entries.

Time to post your project! July 1 - July 5 2007. Click here to post your entry or see the other entries!

Your challenge this month is to create a tiara expressing your reign over crafts, computers, gardening, umm, your life long desire to make and wear a tiara, ... whatever you want to express! Just make sure in true Craftster style that your tiara is clever or unusual or made out of totally unexpected components!

You can start with a plain pre-made tiara and transform it into something spectacular but of course you'll get much more respect from your crafty minions if you make the whole tiara from scratch.

It's good to be the king, but nothing compares to being the queen!

(Thanks to the kiki*eks for this great challenge suggestion.)

Official Rules:

  • Post your craft during the period of July 1 - July 5 2007. No sooner. No later. On July 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
  • Voting will happen from July 6 - July 12 2007.
  • Each participant can enter ONE project although there can be multiple parts to you project.

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original and has never been posted on Craftster or made by anyone else in the past.  But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, then just give credit to that project.

Prizes:

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first prize winner will get:

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog

And a these prizes...

Jenny Hart has donated a copy of her latest book!
Sublime Stitching: Hundreds of Hip Embroidery Patterns and How-To (Spiral-bound)

From amazon.com: "...Sublime Stitching offers all the instructions, tips, and hip patterns needed to create hundreds of stylish projects. Perfect for stitchers of all experience levels, this charmingly photographed book includes simple directions and inspiring project ideas for stitching up jeans, handbags, neckties, baby bibs, and more. Best of all are the entirely original, ready-to-use iron-on patterns bound in the back. Jenny has included all sorts of delightful designs from cheeky margaritas and maracas to classic teapots and cupcakes. These patterns are easy to remove after using, and a cinch to store in the handy pockets on the inside covers. Believe it or not, each pattern can be used up to nine times. Now that's sublime."

And I will also send you a Craftster-themed button set:

Hmm... How would it not be wearable... I'm intrigued! I guess I'll say no, not necessarily. Smiley

Oh. My. God.  This is the best challenge idea EVER.

Will crafty dudes entering this challenge be considered to be in drag (since it's the Queen of Craftyness)....mind you I am absolutely NOT advocating changing the name for the sake of political correctness...just wondering...
