Good luck!  Hopefully, I'll be seeing a pic of your booties here tomorrow morning, anasbubbalu.

And yes, it is indeed late (as you can tell from my previous posts).

I just finished my second bootie and they still look a little wonky...row 16 says" Sl1 pwise, p4, k8....When I do this , I still have eight stitches on my left needle( a total of twenty one) so I've just been knittting those too...is that what's causing so much trouble? sorry to be so much trouble... Huh

I made two pair last night-- one for a coworker and one for a friend-- and waited till I had finished knittin' and stitchin' em up before deciding which ones to pair.  I used Lion's Brand Jiffy in a varegated pastel and white, since both babies are as of yet ungendered.

I used duck-shaped plastic buttons that are 3/4", but tacked them on VERY securely.

I'm really glad I made these, though... I've been intimidated by sock patterns and the turn heel on these (toe I guess!) is much like a sock pattern.  I think this is a great pattern to steer people to who are scared to do their first sock.

I think everyone should have a sassy pair of red shoes--even babies, so here are the ones I made for a friend of mine who's having a baby soon:

They're Bernat Softee Chunky, which is a nice soft yarn, although it doesn't block, so I couldn't make the toes all nice and square.  I found some white star buttons that would have been adorable, but I had brought the booties with me while picking out buttons and it was a huge pain to try and get the button loop over all the points.  So i went with big white circles and I think they're cute.

I'm loving everybody's booties.  They're bootylicious!  (It had to be said...)
