This year instead of going out and making Christmas presents, I want to give a few select people a Festivus kit. Now, there's little information on Festivus, just what you can glean from that one (or two) episode (s) of Seinfield. So far I've decided to make festivus cards, featuring an aluminum pole( no tinsel!! It's distracting!  Grin ), and providing a mini festivus pole. (I'm just going to get a big nut, and a pole that will screw in). Other ideas I've had was to make score cards, so that people could keep track of all of the things that people have done bad to them for the coming year and to maybe include a karate headband (for the fight with the head of the household of course!). I was wondering if any of you had any other suggestions for what I could add?

PS! I wasn't sure where to post this, so I apologize if this is the wrong forum area.

I love Festivus, I've been planning on making a Festivus layout for my site (instead of Christmas). Maybe include a little journal so people can keep track throughout the year in preperation of the Airing of Grievances hehe

oh my god...  when i was still in high school, my mom decided we should start having a festivus dinner.  the only one i recall resulted in a foosball game that took the place of the feats of strength.  haha.  festivus.

Let the airing of grievances begin!

I love Festivus!  Don't forget my favorite part, the airing of grievances.  Maybe you copuld also include a card with a donation to the Human Fund that they can pass along to someone else!

On a personal note, I love Seinfeld.  Recently, I went to a performance of Il Paliacci and could not stop thinking about Crazy Joe Divola and the episode where he dresses up as clown.   Great stuff!

LOL - I love the Human Fund donation card idea!  Definitely in the Seinfeld spirit!
