My mother would love one of these too (well in theory, she loves cacti, but she's a total hater of the sewing, and pretty much everything else crafty...I may have been switched at birth)

LOL same goes for me and my mother. She hates all my crafting. "But what's the USE of self-made stuff when you can also buy it in a store, Castorella?" sigh, pearls before swine...Tongue

I love the cactus, I want to make one myself!

Oooo that's cute! I've been thinking about making myself a pin cushion and ditching the tomato (although I have a fond nostalgia about tomato pincushions).  What did you stuff it with?
For the cactus part it was mostly fiber filling (the soft fluffy white filling). I'm a bit of a miser with it so at the very core of it I just stuffed a tissue to bulk it up. Tongue

For the pot, I just put a little bit of rice wrapped in tissue so there's weight on the bottom so that wouldn't move around too much. You're not meant to stab pins in there anyway. Hope that helps!

Rice to weigh it down sounds like a good idea.  And I always have fiberfill *runs off to make pincushion*

HAHA! So cute!

I will be out of town June 11-20 with limited computer access. (Be patient with me, I'm on the beach!)

How fun.  I like the idea of a cactus pincushion
