My best friend's little sister Kelly graduated last week, and I flew into town for her big graduation party. I wanted to make something for her, and a monkey was perfect. When she was little, her dad convinced her that monkeys were called "Kellies" at the zoo. I found this pattern http://quesera.ojaru.jp/osaru-pattern.html
and went out to buy some brown bernat softee chunky yarn. They had none at Wal-Mart, so I settled for pink and yellow to match her bright personality. I never thought I'd finish it in time, but I sewed on the last leg while she was getting ready for the party. She thought it was bought, in spite of how wonky this little guy is:

That monkey is so cute! I love the color combination and he looks like he wants a hug! That is one cute monkey! Thanks for sharing that pattern.

That's really nice of you to make it for your best friend's sister.

Oh this is an excellent gift!  I like the custom colors and the 'K' patch and the wonk-ed little grin. It makes him look like he was in on the "Kellies" story and is trying not to crack up laughing.
