As I mentioned in LetsRead's thread, I too used the same pattern she did. It was my first time sewing an actual pattern, so I hit alot of bumps in the road. I made it to wear for the christmas gathering deal.

Letsread's dress looks SO much better than mine.

Here it is, please be kind:

  I'm wearing a puffy peasant top underneath and a belt to tighten it.

I really think they should write the instructions out as if talking to a five year old, just incase there are people like myself who has never done it before. Alot of it I had trouble getting right away, and since I didn't do regular fittings on myself through out the process (I just went by the size) it turned out a little too roomy.
So I put some eyelets in the back and made it corset style to tighten (that was after the picture was taken hence the belt).

Looks good. I had problems with my first pattern too. Now I whip right through it. It's something you catch onto the more you sew. I love the fabric though. Very cute!
