These are really nifty!  Thanks to your sharing, I'm a wee-iddy-bit brighter, because I have to admit, when I first clicked here, I was waiting for a picture of orange pond fish to come up Cheesy  Or, maybe faux Hawaiian pudding?

That's cool!  I used to tie glowsticks to shoelaces and do the poi thing...it's a lot safer than fire but still looks pretty cool! My friends do the fire poi but i'm waaayyy too scared to try it. once again, neat-o stuffs!

The glowsticks are cool looking, though I can never remember to get them when I see them.

I love the look of fire poi, but as dry as it is here, I think that I'll stick with lcd's:)

if you are referring to poi balls, they are from the Maori (polynesians from New Zealand....) I know when I make mine (which we do use for dancing....) I usually weigh them down with newspaper & some sort of tissue...(in case you hit yourself with them....)& cover them with white cotton cloth or muslim fabric...but they are used to tell stories with the dance, hope that makes sence.....

Yes, this does make perfect sense.  Smiley  I would love to watch this more and more...I don't think I would try it though....I know I would more than likely hit myself....or trip over them while attempting to dance....hence my nick name "Gracey!"  Cheesy
