Pond and Veggie Garden shots....

I don't preserve veggies - this garden won't produce enough to warrant buying a canning jar!  I did however pick 5 yellow squash and a handful of yellow beans last weekend.  It is looking great... I have some eggplant forming now too - they are about 2inches long - and the tomatoes are starting to kick in. Good thing I loooove tomatoes!  I also have one overachieving green pepper so far...
That reminds me... we haven't had rain in quite awhile... I better run the soaker hose in the morning!

Great shot of the lily!  I should take some pics of mine - I have had a pretty steady showing of color in the pond - and my snow on the water is blooming.  My koi are ignoring their food tonight - they discovered some new growth on the parrot's feather!  Buggers don't let anything slide much!

I will try and take some pics this weekend - the trellis is starting to get covered up with beans... although one package of beans SAID it was a vine but noooooooo it is definitely not a vine.. I have bush beans.. oh well.  Maybe I will go and plant some more vining ones behind it and have a later crop... hmmmmm.... beans.  love beans..

I have some water iris blooming, yellow and purple. Please show your water plants, I have some others but I don't know their names. Would love to see more.

My beans went wild last year-I love them, too. I planted runners and bush this year. It's funny, cause I grew up on a produce truck farm and I used to hate selling green beans and then I worked in a green bean cannery in college and hated them and now I LOVE them!

love to watch stuff grow, my husband is always telling me to eat green beans and I hate them, only in vegetable soup will I eat them.

I had to update everyone on my garden - most of which has already done its thing ... but my beans are still going strong...

oh and a shot of the pond and one of its visitors.. we have several different varieties of dragonfly that frequent it and at least 2 frogs that have taken up residence...
and my koi had babies - and I need them out - my pond can't handle the number of baby fish swimming around.. I have had no luck in catching the little buggers yet either which is a drag...

LOVE those beans! Mine are just starting to produce here. Great trellising of them,too. Every year I say I will build beautiful structures for vertical growing and every year I run crazy sticking in more poles and wires,etc... as the veggies grow
