Because I didn't want to spend 30 euros (rediculus price!) for a pocket to put my ds/nintendo games in, I made one myself.

It's a bit messy on the sides but who cares. I got a pocket to put my games in   Grin

TUTORIAL

1)
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p25/Pollepolly/Craftster/dsgamepocket/pattern.jpg
Make a + shaped  pattern (mine was 30cm high and 42cm long at widest/longest places)

2)
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p25/Pollepolly/Craftster/dsgamepocket/cutfabric.jpg
Cut it out twice (inner and outer fabric)

3)
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p25/Pollepolly/Craftster/dsgamepocket/pindown_straps.jpg
Pindown your straps on your inner fabric (I used non-strechy lace-like material), right side facing you. Pin down so you know where you got to sew.

4)

Messure where you have to sew using your DS/nintendo games.
Again pin down where you got to sew.

5)
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p25/Pollepolly/Craftster/dsgamepocket/sew_straps.jpg
Sew the straps to your inner fabric, check if you did it right using your games, if not use your treadshredder and try again.

6) add your closure to the inner fabric (I used that stuff that does *shrrr* when you open it).

7)

Sew back and front together. Make sure the outer fabric is facing good side down, and the inner fabric is facing you (so bad sides go together).

8] Add your other part of closing mechanism to the outside. Again I used something that requires this. If you use a buttons you probably need to ajust the pattern a little.  Wink

9) If you are perfectionistic (I'm not), you could add a nice border around the edges.

10) Well done! Now tuck in your games and head off.

Yes it does hold the games well. Even when closed.
Well it's not exactly like the ones they sell in stores, those done't have seperate spots for your games. Which was something I definatly wanted because I'm rather messy  Lips sealed.

As for the tute, I've added it to my original post!

I love your case. I always wanted to buy my boyfriend one of those but they are so ugly and plain at the stores!

A whole lot nicer than the cases they sell! I'm definitely going to make one whenever I get my DS. Great job!

Whata brilliant idea! I recently saw a travel tea case that was shaped like that. I've been dying to make something like that but I didn't know what to use it for. DS game are such a great idea ( even though i only have four of them)

Wonderful! I currently have a huge antique looking wallet that I reconstructed to hold my DS Lite and my games. However, I'm always worried that I will open it wrong resulting in my games spilling everywhere. Your games look very secure and I like your fabrics.

I realize this is an older post but I've been searching for a way to make a case and keep the games in it too. The way the one you've made is amazing! Very nice work!
