Your book looks great, kat! Sorry about the edges; probably all my partners will have the same issues. Just take you a nice black ink pad and fix the edge right up after you cut off the excess.  Smiley

I'm WAY too scared to do that Racky.  I can do that technique on my own, but to try to doctor something you did?  No way.  You're the master!

GREAT book, Kat!  I'm excited to be first.  Looks like my tag is on the WEE side! ooooops.   Embarrassed

I have been rolling around ideas for my books construction too, can't wait to get a few more pages to make it all happen!  I got the remnants from my Grandmother's sewing and crafting stuff this week, it was quite sentimental to sort through it all.  The good side is some scraps of bright colored lace and papers, which will all come to good use in this project!
I've only done 2 sets, with 2 more to go out.  The next round should generate more pretty pages that'll provide even more inspiration!  A_A's limey pages are next on my list, yummy!
I've been tossing pretty paper bits, ribbons, yarns, and colorful magazine pages into a box for this wonderful monochrome work.  It's so delish!  Any one else this fixated on color?  I guess we all are, since we are in this swap.  (Except for Racky, whose creative genius is enraged by the rules of monochrome...you rebel you). Wink

I'm going through a summer cleaning/nesting/organizing phase, and digging up fun stuff for this one all the time!

Gorgeous book Kat! I love the way the pages just pop out from the black. And I love all of the fabric and ribbon bits around the edge; it's even pretty closed!

I'm still tossing ideas about for my binding...

Awesome book, Kat! I'm been hemming & hawing about my book as well, because of Ginga's awesome quilted pages. I don't want to cut off or hide that edge. I might just have to do something like you did here.

Your pages look fantastic in the black book Kat!  I wonder if I could find a brown book to put my blue pages in.....I'm a little freaked out to try stab binding for the first time on them.

Okay, all we have left to arrive are 6 sets:
alteredmommy  to  rackycoo

qazicat  to  rackycoo

whitetrashhero  to  LittleGreenDragonfly and Gingerquilts

LittleGreenDragonfly  to  Banga

mub  to  minuette

Please let me know if I've missed anything or if your positive feedback hasn't shown up yet Smiley   someone must have another book to post by now......

I finally got my mail, and my pages from both qazicat and alteredmommy were there!

These are from qazi:

That's the lyrics to "Knights in white satin" on the left (now stuck in my head  Cheesy) I love the Moody Blues, and I love the collage on these pages. Thanks, qazi!

These are from alteredmommy:

I hope it's not too hard to see the dandelions on the left and all the seeds blowing in the wind on the right. I know you can't see all the layers underneath, but they're there! Thanks, alteredmommy. These are beautiful. The little lacy edge on the sides is so sweet.

I had such a good mail day!

Wow those are outstanding pages!!! I never would have thought you could get such depth of texture just using shades of white - very cool!

Ooh lovely white pages... I think I'll ask for white next round. Smiley

I'm sorry I haven't posted janeausten's pages yet- and I wanted to warn mub that I am going away for a week tomorrow, so I won't be able to report if your package arrives until next week. Sorry to keep people is suspense!

Katxena, your book is gorgeous.  I can see why you wanted to be very careful with the tags...it really paid off!  I also didn't expect that mounting the pages on a black background would have turned out so well.  I need to think about this!

Those white pages are really beautiful too.  I can't wait to see more complete books!
