I have always wanted to learn, but with carpel tunnel and fat man hands thought it was going to be impossible. I watched a bunch of youtube videos yesterday and decided it was time to "man up" and do it. Wink

Here is my first granny square and I made it while watching TV Smiley

Now I need to decide what to do with it,
single huge granny afghan or multiple...I'm not so good with the center yet as you can tell from the pic.

That looks like an awesome attempt to me! Keep on at it. Smiley

I work in a call centre and when we first started our contract there were no calls coming in, so I taught my [then] new friend Ben how to crochet. Admittedly I thought he'd give it a go and then give up but an hour later, he had all the stitches down pat and his tension wasn't bad. By the next day he'd already made a bag, a scarf and a hat! That was almost 16 months ago and now he's a pro. He also learned to knit and loves that too. Also since then I've taught about 10 people to crochet at work and they all love it.
