Make mine a Kir Royale. I always crave those during the summer.

Unfortunately, my postman is an extremely cranky older gentleman named Oliver. It is impossible to get him to crack a smile and whenever I have a package he is extremely put out.

Okay, here's a pitcherful each of G & Ts and frozen margies....I play pin the tail on the postman for spite, Legerdemain, because as of yesterday no earrings from you and no tatted bracelet from sewknitter...hoping they'll be waiting for me when I get home in an hour or so. My mail rides on the short bus (or, more specifically in the personal auto of a rural route carrier - recently, a package sent from central Ohio to where I am at in North Carolina took 3 weeks and one day...I actually thought I was going to have to try to collect the insurance money...not a fan of the PO lately)

My mail rides on the short bus . . .

Does that have the same derogatory meaning there as it does here?

Raina, Strongbow is a type of hard cider like Cider Jack or Woodchuck.  I'm trying to find a good one, but nothing seems to beat the draft I got at an Irish pub that no longer exists.  Cry

Grieney - The short bus - def. a politically incorrect joke, probably means what you think it does. Oh, and I don't have any Strongbows, but I think there are a couple bottles of pear cider in the fridge - there's a woodchuck or a groundhog or something on the label...help yourself.

Thanks for the explanation! I could've/would've looked it up myself, but I had a very hectic day and am feeling lazy. Tongue

I'll drink to that!

Ariaya, I'm sure we'll scarf up whatever you'll bring to us.

To those wondering about the 'short bus', it, quite meanly, refers to those people who ride a mini-bus to school.  I'm evil, I know.  On that note, and because the rain has stopped pouring for 2 seconds, I'm going home.  C-ya ladies!
