There are knitalongs and crochetalongs, why not ATC-alongs?

Each week we will try out a new technique or try new materials. For beginners, like me, this will give them a chance to explore the different types of things you can do and for more advanced ATCers, they can chime in and help us out. All that is required of you is to use the given technique or materials and post a picture.

For our first week, we will be using this technique called "Intuitive Watercolor." I got this technique off of atcards.com. This idea came from a book of Bernie Berlin's, Artist Trading Cards Workshop. If anybody has this book and would like to elaborate on this technique, please do so.

Intuitive Watercolor:

Randomly brush, blot, and drip watercolors on an ATC-sized piece of water color paper. Use a blow dryer or heat gun to move the color around and dry it faster, if you like. Then with an ink pen or whatever you choose, start to draw around the shapes. Sort of like looking at clouds or taking a Rorschach test! See what images start to form. If you don't see anything right away, just start doodling.

Anybody want to join me? Grin

This looks like way too much fun for words... I do think it should be weekly just because ATCs are smaller and therefore sometime they can be done more quickly (though I've learned that's not always the case because I've spent alot of time on a couple). Anyway, I will definitely do this, I'm glad I already have watercolors Cheesy (though I think I'll have to use sketch book paper instead of watercolor paper) I'll put it up when I'm done. Smiley

P.S. Thank you for helping me out of my ATC block  Cheesy

Weekly it is! And remember that you can post as many cards as you want.

Can't wait to see your card!
