my wands didn't turn out quite as spiffy as yours, we used those wooden rods you find at craft stores. If I would have seen your post first we would have come out differently.

I made mine with wooden dowels too but then i covered them in polymer clay. I just took a few different browns and kept mixing them to look swirly and then i put them on the dowel. I added a stone on the end and also add details on some. The possibles are endless. I wish I lived by some HP freaks like me, I want to get dresses to but i am afraid I will embarrass my family. Let me know if you need more help on them
