Making, learning, and making some more...

Well, a few weeks ago I went to a "Crafternoon" in Angel (north London), and was introduced to needlefelting. I was really bowled over at how straightfoward it was, and instantly gratifying. I made a little family of mice (as under instruction by the kit I bought):

Now, I was instructed how to make this one, so I can't completely call it mine. To remedy this, I ran off and ordered loads of roving (argh, I'm a sucker) and made this for my brother's fiance's birthday (she recently rescued some battery hens, and is now Mother Hen, officially Wink ):

yay! I already have a tonne of ideas of what else I want to make, with increasing complexity. Any tips?
