Ok, so they're not that crazy... I made each of these for a different friend/family member who was having a baby.

This one says "Ella Grace" (the baby's name) in IPA, which is the alphabet linguists and others use to write any speech sound in the world.  The mother was a linguistics major (as was I), so it was kind of a cute inside joke.

Blurry paisley, for a baby boy.

Barrel of Monkeys monkey (kind of?) for my brother's baby boy.  (I'm afraid it might have scared him....)  Shocked

I loooove the IPA onsie...what a cute idea. I've taken a phonetics class on IPA and I don't think my spelling has ever been the same!  Cheesy

Heehee... Yeah, I thought my spelling was bad before!  It just all went to heck once I realized that the way English is written is not the same thing as English the language.

I love these! SUPER CUTE! Did you have to use a Stabilizer for the onsie fabric?

Nope.  Probably should have, but I just stitched it right on there (using an embroidery hoop).  I've seen one of the babies wearing hers, and it didn't seem to be pulling too bad.  I did prewash them.

Very cute!  I love the IPA one also, so sweet and personal!

(and I just did embroidered onesies and had great luck with just ironing freezer paper on the back, didn't need a hoop or anything)
